Research shows that one of the reasons girls lose interest in STEM is because they don’t have a real life role model or clarity about the career options in these fields. Let’s work together to change this! If you have an interest in STEM (or your daughter if you’re a parent), one of the ways to nurture that interest is to learn about brilliant women in STEM. TED Talks has a playlist called “Talks by brilliant women in STEM”. This gives you access to information about trailblazing right at your fingertips. They will inspire you and broaden your mind about all of the possibilities available to you in the future.

One of my favorite TED Talks in this playlist is “The Rise of Personal Robots”. I like this talk because robotics will be an important part of our future in many fields and careers. Another TED Talk that will open your eyes about how to achieve your dreams, learn and grow is “To Raise Brave Girls, Encourage Adventure” by Caroline Paul.
