About “Bright Futures Begin With STEM”

The future is bright for today’s students, but there is an increasing need to prepare now for the jobs of tomorrow. The mission of Bright Futures Begin With STEM is to share helpful resources, activities, and events that will help students, parents, and teachers know how to develop and build students’ passions for STEM and how to help prepare them to take on the 17.3 million STEM jobs throughout the world today.

My name is Grace and I have a deep love and appreciation for science, technology, engineering, and math. I created this website to share my passion and be a resource to motivate the younger generation to get interested in STEM and see how it connects to real jobs.

Why is this important?

• STEM is outpacing the U.S. Economy by 300%
• With the current trend, almost one-third of STEM jobs in the U.S. will go unfilled.

Based on these statistics, if we are not encouraging the students of today to go into STEM, it could effect our economic growth of tomorrow. For the long-term health of the U.S. economy, we need more students who are preparing for these positions. If we can fill these jobs, we will surely have a bright future ahead of us.
